We must begin with a reconstruction of the events prior to Paul’s arrival in Corinth. In the Acts account Paul’s stay in Corinth was part of the great Pauline mission in Asia Minor and Greece (the second missionary journey of Acts 15:36–18:22). We can reconstruct a list of individual missionary stations on the basis of the traditions reworked by Luke.
